“BUS, Where have you been!!!”

August 26th, 2007

Well I am sorry I have not posted once again for a while.

I caught a really bad case of the flu a couple weeks back. When I say 'bad' I mean I think somehow I picked up 3 nasty flu's in one hit. Long story short the First week was hell, the second was bed bound and the third was on the mends with two courses of Antibiotics.

Week One with the nasty Flu

Week Four (2 Weeks ago) I headed to the snow – Mt Buller – with my brother for some of the best conditions skiing in my life. It was a bit of a bonding session as I have'nt really had much contact with my brother for a while. I don't think I could have planned or wished for a better week. Four fantastic days of Blue Skies little wind to speak of and a very good to excellent cover of snow on the entire resort – AND I Finally had kicked the serious side of my flu in the guts – Thank God!

Last week was pretty standard, Ride hard, get punnished by mates on the bike, alot of work, and looking forward to the weekend.

Today (Saturday) - I was on a mission, in the morning myself and my good mate John Groves set off on a bit of an adventure. After all of that skiing the other week I had a crazy idea of maybe heading to Lake Mountain and go MTB riding in the snow. So we did!! Ha it was great fun, sure we learned a bit about control and traction when riding in the snow but in all it was an absolute blast! We probably spent about 2hrs total ride time out and about on the Lake Mountain trails which was more than enough to get a good tiring ride in that was a bit of an adventure as well.
